02/26/2007 - Uniondale, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New York Islanders have acquired left wing Richard Zednik from the Washington Capitals in exchange for a second- round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Zednik is having one of his worst offensive seasons with just six goals and 12 assists in 32 games. He was re-acquired by Washington last July in a trade with Montreal.
The 31-year-old native of Slovakia was originally Washington's 10th-round pick in the 1994 draft and played parts of six seasons with the Capitals before being dealt to the Canadiens at the trade deadline in March of 2001.
In 611 NHL games, Zednik has 167 goals with 150 assists for 317 points. His best season came in 2002-03 with Montreal when he notched 31 goals and 19 assists for 50 points.

Both center Jeff Saturday and quarterback Peyton Manning gave New Orleans’ front four props, admitting keeping guys like Will Smithand Charles Grant contained would be a tall task for the offensive line.
